Larry Davidson Bio

Professional photographer based in eastern Pittsburgh, PA. specializing in portraiture, glamour, actor headshots and model portfolios.

My wife Larissa (the Boss) and I own and operate Larry Davidson Photography. Larissa and our daughter Anastasiya handle the mundane everyday chores of the business, while I have all the fun doing the artistic stuff like photography.

I've been involved with photography (on and off) for over 30 years. I've worked in a photography studio in Germany, worked in chain portrait studios, custom dark rooms, and as a hobbyist. In 2006, I decided it was time to venture out and go "Pro" so I started Astonishing Portraits which is now the Senior Portrait side of Larry Davidson Photography. The last 5 years have been primarily Model Portfolios and Boudoir, but for 2012 my concentration will be solely on the Senior Portrait market.

Education
I received an Associate Degree In Business Management Capital City Junior College in 1988 and have a general diploma from New York Institute of Photography 1987.

Favorite Foods
I‘m a true CHILLI HEAD and love to test my boundaries when it comes to eating hot foods. A few months ago I switched from the typical American meat heavy diet to a natural whole food diet. The switch was much easier than I thought it would be and without meat and dairy products clogging up my system I feel better and have more energy.

Favorite Music
Music is something I really enjoy and is my favorite pastime. I find inspiration and enjoyment in every genre. Some of my favorite artist are Queen, Frank Zappa, D.C. Talk, Allman Brothers Band, Bach, Kitaro, and many more.

Favorite Movies
I must admit, I don’t watch very many movies or television. I personally feel that it is a waste of valuable time. But there are a few movies that I really enjoy and here is a few of my favorites. Blazing Saddles, The 6th Sense, Forrest Gump and Silence of the Lambs.

Favorite Ways to Pass Time
I love college football, it’s a passion and I’m a huge Arkansas Razorback fan. Coming from the south, I enjoy gourmet vegan cooking, a great cup of Joe, and relaxing with my family and friends. I also enjoy studying and learning the beautiful Russian language.
