I would like to welcome and thank you for visiting today! My name is Larry Davidson a professional photographer in Pittsburgh, PA. The last 6 years my business has been concentrated on boudoir and beauty/glamour photography. As you look through my portfolio, you’ll find that I also love working in the product and commercial areas of photography.
In the past, Larry Davidson Photography was my personal website to display a variety of my work mostly to family and friends. Astonishing Portraits was my professional/business website. However, in 2012 I feel it’s time for new challenges and the business will be concentrating on the Senior Portrait market. So Astonishing Portraits we be the solely the Senior Portrait brand and Larry Davidson Photography will be business umbrella site, so you’ll be seeing lots of changes coming to both sites in the near future.
No with all the boring mumbo jumbo out of the way, photography is simply a creative outlet for me. I been “dabbling” in photography around 30 years and have been a working professional for the last six. After 30 years, I’m still very much in the learning and development process. My view is that photography is a craft that uses artistic elements and not a true art form. To be photographic artist you must first master the craft of photography. I continued to invest in my photographic education through workshops and mentoring, both of which keep me on my toes, honing my skills and evolving my individual style.
I’m happy to share information and help other photographers. I’m always looking for mentors and to mentor. When we work together, share ideas, visions, and experience our photographic world only becomes better and we all benefit.
